put creativity and wellbeing at the heart of your curriculum with Artsmark

Right now, the importance of high-quality art education for every child has never been so urgent. The impact of lockdown and the global Covid-19 pandemic on the wellbeing of young people is a key concern for us all.

what is the artsmark award?

Artsmark Award, accredited by Arts Council England, is a quality standard that supports educational settings to develop and celebrate their commitment to teaching the arts and cultural education.

Primary, secondary and special schools, pupil referral units, youth offending teams and sixth form colleges across England can all apply for their Artsmark Award.

From the start of the 2023-24 academic year, a new national provider will deliver Artsmark development training and provide schools with support throughout their Artsmark journey.

For the past decade, a network of 10 Bridge organisations across England have provided a fantastic ‘bridge’ between schools, the cultural sector and children and young people, including in the East Midlands with the work of The Mighty Creatives. The new delivery provider will build on the great work of the Bridge network, continuing to offer excellent training and support to schools and education settings at a national level. You can find out more about changes to Artsmark delivery through the link below. Please contact Artsmark at the Arts Council if you have any further questions about this.
